Leucanthemum x superbum Marconi
Coarsely toothed leaves and daisy flowers. For
well-drained soil, these relatively short-lived plants
reseed.
Robust, upright habit and large flowers. Good
performance in hot, humid climates.
Giant 5 to 7 inch wide, white flowers
with yellow centers, this seed produces over 50% double
and semi double flowers with nice large single flowers
on the rest. The plants have tall stems growing up to 3
feet tall. The finest large double Shasta from seed.
Excellent cut flowers.

Removing the spent flowers
increases the blooming period for most cultivars. Double forms
often do better in the garden with some afternoon shade. This
plant is tolerant of heat and humidity. Division in early spring
every 2-3 years is the easiest method of propagation. Cuttings
can be taken in the summer.
