A shady garden, dwarf version. Large, spikes of bright-yellow flowers float over large leaves. For the bog garden or shady moist borders. This dwarf variety is also ideal for containers. Very effective alongside water.
This container-friendly, shorter selection is a cross between 'The Rocket' x 'Lanternchen' made by Marco Fransen of The Netherlands and introduced by Future Plants. It was selected for its relatively compact habit and free-flowering ability. Large, rich green, serrated, heart-shaped leaves form an upright, basally branched mound.
Beginning in midsummer, a profusion of bright yellow flower spikes rocket above the foliage, creating quite a spectacle. It is stunning when planted en masse!

These plants need to be kept moist and grown in partial shade in hot areas. Prefer early morning and late evening sun. Ligularias are at their best when grown in cool, moist locations in part shade. Protection from the hot, afternoon sun in the south is essential to prevent wilting. They are a natural for the pond side where there is a constant supply of moisture, though they do require good drainage.
