This is a densely tufted, evergreen perennial, grass with a beautiful bronze tinted green, narrow leaves. In early summer it bears open spikelets of 3 to 7, violet-tinged flowers. They are often used in landscaping and wonderful effects may be achieved by using just ornamental grasses, or mixed with other appropriate plants. Requires good drainage and full sun.
