Russian Sage
More Information
Perovskia atriplicifolia was chosen by the
Perennial Plant Association as the 1995 perennial plant of the
year. This plant will grow in shady areas, but will not be as
full and dense as it is in the sun. It prefers areas where the
summers are warm and it will tolerate humidity. Cut back before
new growth of the year begins, and periodic pruning until
mid-summer will produce better growth and a stronger bloom.
Plant goes well with lavender or ornamental grasses.
